Founded in 2011, Contemporary Wing promotes the work of living artists through a dynamic exhibition program. Our mission is to identify and advance artists who will define American art in the coming decade. The Wing is open by appointment.


Lauren Gentile has produced major exhibitions of historically significant artists including Shepard Fairey, Teo Gonz├ílez, the Guerrilla Girls and Paul D. Miller (DJ Spooky), among others. While supporting the artists of today, she has helped nurture such emerging talent as Gaia, Hedieh Javanshir Ilchi, and Cheryl Pope.  A certified appraiser of fine and decorative art and an expert in the economics of the international art market, she also has expertise in art investment and secondary market valuations.


Blake Kimbrough has a passion for collecting contemporary art, especially art of the African Diaspora, an area in which he holds longstanding expertise.  Blake is on the Board of Directors of the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Art in Brooklyn, New York, where he has served since 2002.  He is also a Contemporaries Steering Committee member for the Corcoran Gallery of Art in D.C.  A project engineer in the aerospace industry who hails from Los Angeles, Blake holds degrees from U.C. Berkeley and American University.
